A Summer of Connection with Nature and the Land

Deepen your connection with nature and co-create your vision in harmony with the Earth. An story of presence, listening, and relationship with the land in the Apennines.
A Summer of Connection with Nature and the Land
I hope your summer has been beautiful and restorative.
Mine has been deeply nourishing. I spent long months in direct contact with the wild and gentle nature of the Apennines—a place I call home, which welcomes me each year with its quiet strength.
This relationship with the land is becoming increasingly central in my life.
I’m beginning to understand more deeply what it truly means to have a living bond with a place—similar to the one my ancestors had, born and raised among these woods and mountains.
A Living Relationship with the Land
Our connection with the Earth is not something to take for granted. It doesn’t happen overnight.
Like any real relationship—with a person, an animal, or a place—it takes time, presence, care, and dedication. It requires patience, listening, and consistency.
But once it takes root, that relationship changes everything.
From Nature as a Backdrop to Nature as a Living Presence
When we enter into relationship with nature, the way we perceive it shifts profoundly.
It’s no longer a backdrop, a landscape to admire or pass through. It becomes a subject. A presence. An interlocutor.
It’s within this relationship that we learn to see the subtle details, to truly listen. We begin to notice those imperceptible signals that go unseen by those merely passing through—those who look, but do not see.
Nature as Mentor, Guide, and Companion
Nature responds. Nature engages.
In the stillness, in slowness, in deep listening, we discover that nature is a guide, a teacher, a companion on the path. A wellspring of ancient wisdom we can draw from—if we learn to stay, without rushing.
This way of seeing the world is the heart of everything I offer.
It’s the foundation of my work, my offerings, and the experiences I create.
The Power of Place: Energy, Personality, and Presence
As Robin Wall Kimmerer writes in Braiding Sweetgrass:
“But to our people, the land was everything: identity, the connection to our ancestors, the home to our non-human kinfolk, our pharmacy, our library, the source of all that sustained us. It belonged to itself; it was not a gift, not a commodity, so it could never be bought or sold.”
And that’s exactly why, years ago, I made a conscious choice:
To only guide people in places with which I have a real relationship—either direct or indirect.
And when I approach a new place, I do so slowly, respectfully, with no assumptions. Each place has its own personality, its own energy, its own way of communicating. It needs to be listened to.
Reconnecting with Nature: Our Natural State
When we start to spend time in nature—every day—something reawakens.
That deep connection with the Earth, which is part of our very DNA, begins to surface.
It doesn’t need to be “created”—it simply needs to be remembered. It is our natural state.
For me, summer is exactly that: a time to nourish this connection, to get lost and found again in the forest, with the trees, the rivers, and the mountains.
To let myself be embraced by nature, and receive whatever she chooses to offer.
Visioning with the Earth: Co-Creating with Nature
This year, I had a clear intention.
For months, during my nature-based practices, I kept receiving the same message:
"You don’t have to do this alone.
We want to be part of it.
We can help you."
So, I asked.
I asked nature to collaborate with me, to co-create a project that I’ve been holding close to my heart for a long time.
And nature responded—clearly, generously, and with incredible precision.
From this process, a deeper, evolved version of Visioning with the Earth was born—
a way of co-creating your life vision in partnership with nature.
It’s exactly what I spent this summer doing, side by side with the land.
