The Wisdom That Comes When You Stop Overthinking (And Why Intuition Might Just Save the Day)

Clarity, intuition, and analytical thinking: a true story of how deep listening and connection can reshape the way we understand, choose, and live.

A personal story

In 2014, I was about to head out on a work trip to India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka.
I rushed through the Sri Lanka visa application and completely messed it up.
It could’ve cost me the trip—possibly the entire journey.

I spiralled into anxiety.
And then, to make things worse, I was told I had to go to the Embassy in person for an interview.

My mind went into overdrive.
Endless worst-case scenarios playing on a loop.
I had no idea how to fix the mistake I had created.

That night, around 3am, I suddenly woke up with a crystal-clear message:
“Go print another form. Refill it with the correct information.”

It was so clear, so specific—no doubt, no hesitation.
I got up.
Printed a new form.
Filled it in.
And went back to bed.

The next morning, I arrived at the Embassy expecting them to pull out the original application.
Instead, a kind woman looked at me and asked gently:
“Do you have a printed form with you?”

I couldn’t believe it.
I calmly handed over the new, correct form.

And then something even more powerful happened.

She noticed that I had been to Sri Lanka before—right after the 2004 tsunami.
That meant something to her.
We shared a moment. Not officer and applicant. Just two human beings.
A moment of quiet humanity.

We chatted for a few minutes.
She granted me the visa.
I thanked her, deeply.
And continued my journey.

That moment of clarity?
That message?
That download?

It didn’t come from spiralling.
It didn’t come from problem-solving.
It didn’t come from thinking harder or pushing more.

It came from a different place.

A place of connection.
Of deep listening.
Of trust.

There Are Many Ways of Knowing

We’ve been taught that there’s only one: the head.
Logic. Thinking. Analysis.

That’s a lie.

While all of those have their place—they’re not the only way.

There are other ways:

  • The wisdom of the body
  • The wisdom of intuition
  • The wisdom of nature

These ways of knowing are often quieter.
Slower.
Less linear.
But they are no less powerful—
In fact, sometimes they are more precise than anything the mind could ever come up with.

This Is What We Do in Clarity Sessions

When I guide people through Clarity Sessions, we don’t try to fix things with more thinking.
We don’t push for answers.
We don’t get stuck in loops.

Instead, we drop into a different way of knowing.
We slow down.
We listen deeply—to the body, to what’s underneath, to what’s already there.

We remember that clarity doesn’t come from force.
It comes from connection.

Clarity. Intuition. Ecosomatic Coaching.

Ecosomatic coaching is all about reconnecting with the body and with nature as wise, intelligent allies.
It’s about recognising that we are not separate from the world around us.
That insight, guidance, and clarity are always available—if we know how to listen.

Whether we meet in a forest or on Zoom, that space is always available.
Because your body is always with you.
And nature is everywhere.

Want to Experience It?

If this speaks to something in you—if you’re craving a deeper kind of clarity—I’d love to guide you through a Clarity Session.

For the whole month of July, I’m offering a special rate to make this work more accessible.

Let this be your invitation to stop pushing and start listening.
Clarity is already here. You just need to make space for it.
